Our electric harp for protecting honey bees is our own design based on experiences and observations. While harps from Portugal and Spain served as a basis, we have greatly improved the harp through findings and experiments. As a result, almost no honey bees are hit due to the larger string distance. The much higher output voltage also ensures that the Asian hornet is killed, making a water tray unnecessary.
The electric control was designed and tested in-house, ensuring correct and long-lasting operation. The automatic ON/OFF function, which turns off the harp at night, results in a significant decrease in power consumption and also spares nocturnal wildlife.
Each harp has its own high-voltage module, avoiding problems with humidity (burnt-out connectors, etc.). Consequently, all extension cables, splitters, etc. are low voltage (12V).
The harp comes standard with a 1.2m cable and universal connector, which can be used to connect various power sources. Large battery clips are included as standard for operation on a 12V battery; optionally, a mains adapter or 20W solar panel with built-in battery can also be connected.
Production takes place in Belgium, ensuring a quick delivery time.
